MIR Minimal (“we”) is a graphic design studio based at Sahaajankatu 39, 00880 Helsinki, Finland. We respect your privacy and handle personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect

When you use our contact form we collect the name, email address and message you provide. We use no tracking or advertising cookies.

Visitor statistics

We measure site usage with our own, first-party, cookieless analytics running on this site's own hosting. Without your consent we count visits only in anonymous, aggregate form (page, country, device type, and the coarse traffic source — e.g. “Instagram” or “Google” — together with our own campaign link tags; the full referring address is never stored). Visit counting uses a technical identifier derived from your connection with a random key that changes every day and is permanently deleted within 48 hours — after that, stored counts can no longer be linked to any connection, and visits can never be linked across days. If you choose “Accept all” in the cookie notice, we additionally record the referring site, browser and operating system name, screen size class, browser language and city-level location, plus anonymous interaction events (e.g. that a contact form was submitted). IP addresses are never stored. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookies” link in the footer. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in aggregate audience measurement (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) and, for the extended statistics, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).

Why, and the legal basis

We use this information solely to read and respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) and our legitimate interest in answering messages sent to us (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Who processes your data

To deliver your message we use FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which forwards form submissions to our email. Our site is hosted on Netlify. These providers act as processors and may transfer data outside the EU under appropriate safeguards. All fonts and scripts are served from our own site — no third-party trackers.

Storage on your device

We store your chosen language, your cookie-notice choice and a temporary per-tab flag (which prevents the one-time language redirect from repeating; deleted when the tab closes) in your browser’s local storage. All are functional; no tracking cookies are set.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry only as long as needed to handle it and any resulting project, after which it is deleted. Raw visitor-statistics events are deleted after at most 400 days; only aggregate daily totals are kept longer.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, to object to processing, and to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
